Antoine Delaitre, Head of School

Antoine joined the International School of Paris in July 2024 as the Head of School.  Antoine has twenty-seven years of experience in international education, during which he occupied various leadership roles at top IB schools in the United States: the French American International School in San Francisco, and more recently at the United Nations International School (UNIS) in New York City, where he has successfully led the high school through complex transformations for the past nine years.

Antoine is fluent in three languages (French, English, Spanish) and has studied three more (Japanese, Portuguese, Latin), reflecting a deep commitment to global education and cultural understanding. Born in France, he has spent half his life in other countries: he grew up in Algeria and Greece, and completed his secondary and university education in France, including at the University of Paris where he obtained a Master’s Degree, the Agrégation, and a Master of Advanced Studies (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies) in history. He was also stationed in Libreville (Gabon) as part of his one-year military service in Equatorial Africa, before embarking on his career in international education in California. He was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the French Ministry of Education in 2015, in recognition for his contributions to bilingual education.

Damian Kerr, Secondary School Principal

Damian has been at ISP for almost 30 years, and has witnessed ISP grow from a small and very informal international school to a professional and well respected school twice the size. Damian has been department leader, IBDP Coordinator, and VP Student Wellbeing at ISP, and is now in his ninth year as Secondary School Principal. Damian has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham, a PGCE in Mathematics and Modern Languages from the same university, and a Master’s in Educational Management from the University of Sheffield. Damian is particularly interested in cultural and team dynamics, as well as the role that student wellbeing can play in supporting learning.

Amy Bowley, Secondary School Assistant Principal

Amy has been working in international schools during the last 23 year, in Latin America, Asia, and now Europe. She is certified as a K-8 teacher and has taught primarily Math and Science at the middle school level, but also has classroom experience as an elementary teacher. Amy has had a variety of leadership roles in schools, including Grade Level Leader, Department Leader, Vice Principal, Principal, and Head. She holds a Masters in Curriculum and Teaching and a Post-Masters in Educational Leadership. Amy joined the ISP team in 2020 as Secondary Assistant Principal. In this role, she works with Damian Kerr to oversee all Secondary, but is based on the middle school campus as campus lead. 

Jason Taylor, Primary School Principal

Jason Taylor is the Primary School Principal and has been in this position at ISP since July 2019. Jason is from the UK and started his teaching career in West London where he stayed for four years before embarking on a career in international education. He spent 17 years in South East Asia (Jakarta, Bangkok & Hong Kong) in a variety of leadership positions. Directly prior to joining ISP, Jason was the Executive Director of an international school in Basel, Switzerland. He has a BSc (QTS) in Mathematics and a Masters in Educational Management. Jason’s wife currently works as one of the Kindergarten teachers in the Primary School.

Elizabeth Sutherland, Director of Learning and Strategic Development

Since 2019, Elizabeth Sutherland has been employed as the Director of Learning and Strategic Development at ISP. Elizabeth is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of teaching and learning, assessment across the school, parent information and communication as it relates to teaching and learning, staff professional development, strategic planning and action, and NEASC/IB/CIS accreditation. Elizabeth received a Bachelors of Science degree from Clemson University, Masters in Education from the College of Charleston, Masters in International Relations from the University of Cape Town, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. Parallel to scholarship, Elizabeth has taught in IB primary and secondary schools across the globe and trained and practised as an instructional coach. For Elizabeth, key areas of focus include economic policies, gender inequalities, digital learning and technology, and educational leadership.

Stéphanie Gilbert, Director of Human Resources

Stéphanie Gilbert is the Human Resources Director at the International School of Paris.  She is French and holds a Master Degree in Sociology and a high Degree in Business Administration. Stéphanie has been working as HR Director at ISP since 2003.  Her responsibilities at the International School of Paris include hiring and interviewing staff, administering contracts of employment and pay, benefits, professional development and leave, liaising with the staff representatives and enforcing ISP policies and practices while ensuring their compliance with the legal French labor context. Stephanie leads two HR Assistants.  Together, the HR team also continuously provides a wide range of  support to the staff when they join the school and all along their career at ISP.

Isabelle Giraud-Carrier, Finance Director

Isabelle is the Finance director at the International School of Paris.  Isabelle joined ISP 23 years ago after 15 years experience in Finance management in international companies (HP and The Walt Disney Company). Isabelle holds a master’s degree in finance from the European Business School (Paris, London and Madrid) and speaks French, English and Spanish.  She enjoyed the real challenge of a rapidly growing school and currently oversees the Finance and Facilities team. She ensures that the school’s financial resources are used effectively to support the school’s missions and its educational program.  She is the mother of two ISP alumni (N - 12) currently studying at universities in the United States and Switzerland.

Courtney Knight, Advancement and Engagement Director

Courtney Knight is the Advancement and Engagement Director at the International School of Paris, where she leads a dynamic team in the areas of enrolment management, communications, strategic development projects and alumni/community engagement.  She has been at the school since 2012, overseeing growth in enrolment as the school expanded from two to three campuses in Paris.  She is very active in the international admissions community and is currently chairperson of the ECIS Admissions Special Interest Group.  Prior to ISP, Courtney worked in the areas of financial investments and risk analysis, as well as was founding partner of a (short lived!) start-up business venture based in Paris.  She holds dual French/USA citizenship and has a Masters in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from ESCP Europe and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University.

Paul Tagg, IT Director

Paul has been the IT director at the International School of Paris since 2011.  Previously he worked in Japan and Singapore in a number of IT roles ranging from Education to the Finance sector.  He holds a Masters degree (by research) from the University of Oxford sponsored by a 3 year grant from the Science Research Council and a First class honours degree in Mathematic from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.  He has a firm belief that learning should be fun and he expects one day to solve the Collatz conjecture.
