Senior girls represent ISP in Lisbon for the 2017 ESC football tournament

In October 2017, the senior girls football team travelled to Lisbon, Portugal, to represent ISP at the European Sports Conference 2016 girls football tournament. The girls were in high spirits throughout the tournament and sharpened their skills with every match. We were proud to score in all five matches and finish the tournament on a high note with a solid 2-0 win.

One highlight of the weekend was Lilli receiving the ESC "All Stars Award", selected by the coaches from across all the participating teams, for her exceptional ball skills and playmaking abilities. All of the ISP goals were scored by Lilli and Philine, thanks to assists and plays made by Hanae, Ida and Hannah. We also had some wonderful saves made by Gemma and Julia, who both alternated as goalkeepers.

"We had a lot of fun and worked as a team!" Gemma

"I will never forget all the amazing memories we made. Our team had the best spirit! This has definitely been a trip to remember!" Hannah

"I was so impressed with how we played as a team at the end and I am really happy that I had this opportunity!" Hanae

Between games the girls fitted in some time to go swimming and explore the Quinta da Regaleira UNESCO site, as well as plenty of singing on the bus, along the sidelines, and even during meals! The team's camaraderie was evident both on and off the field, and it was a real pleasure to see each player give it their all.

Well done ladies!
