ISP's Parent Teacher Association hosted the annual "PTA presents Paris" event for new parents on Friday, September 15, at the Secondary School campus. The morning sessions were packed with useful information, helpful tips and practical advice to make the new families' start in Paris easier.
The American Hospital's Dr Barbara Hanke came in once again to give her thorough and clear introduction to the French medical system, along with advice on what to do in emergencies. Furthermore, veteran ISP parents shared anecdotes and practical advice about living in Paris with a family.
This event is essential in making our new parents' transition as smooth as possible, and the school is extremely grateful for all the hard work that our PTA volunteers put into this event each year. A special thank you to Ingrid Equestre-Mezger, who has been a member of the organising team for the past five years.
In addition to breakfast, lunch and the valuable information from the sessions, the new parents were also able to take home a PTA Presents Paris handbook with even more information and useful tips, as well as many new friendships that were formed during the day.
A big thank you to Alexandra Azzarello, Amy Bachofen, Susanne Behrning, Ingrid Equestre-Mezger, Jennifer Hamerman, Debbie Kobayashi, Pieternel Kroes, Ramie Leibnitz Armstrong, Michal Litvak, Jessica Lovejoy, Nobuko Nomura, Sharon Nossiter, Meg Radford, Heba Shaarawy, Carolien Tilburg and Sunshine Wright for organizing this wonderful event!
