Senior girls varsity team bring home the Spirit Award from the European Football Tournament in Lisbon

The Senior Girls Varsity team recently travelled to Lisbon, Portugal to compete in the European Sports Conference (ESC) from November 3 to 5.

We were very proud of the Senior Girls' teamwork, motivation, positivity, respect and ability to apply new ball skills. They represented ISP in the highest manner both on and off the pitch, and it was a real pleasure to coach them.

"The trip to Lisbon was great, I loved getting to meet the people from other grades as well as girls from all around Europe to play football. It was a great weekend with a lot of laughter and competition."
Hannah, Grade 9

One of the many highlights from the ESC Lisbon included six of our players, Philine, Blanca, Anastasia, Sarah, Laila and Hanaé, all of whom went above and beyond in filling-in as goalie - a position they don't normally play but chose to in order to support the team.

"I loved it when the team decided to have a mud fight at the end of the tournament!"
Ella, Grade 10

All the Senior Girls were very proud to be awarded the Spirit Award, as voted for by the international schools and referees.

We're looking forward to even more success from the Girls teams this year!
