The ISP Human Library - where breathing books are on loan.

Meet Our Human Librarians!

Assil Charara (right) and Marianne Freire (left) are both dedicated members of the Primary School teaching staff. They are also dedicated teacher-researchers, and have been examining their practices by leading action research projects for more than three years.

The ISP Human Library is their most recent research project, and you can read about its evolution to the right.

If you would like to join the ISP Human Library click on the blue button to the right to create your ISP Human Library profile.

Only students and ISP staff will have access to the complete Human Library Catalogue, but you can always contact Assil and Marianne, who can assist you with accessing ISP human resources for your own projects. Their contact details are also to the right.

Giving Tuesday began in the United States in 2012 as a global day of philanthropy. This year ISP will once again join the movement on Tuesday, 1 December 2020, along with over 100 other countries and countless other organisations.

On this special day ISP will join a global effort to mobilize community philanthropic efforts. In participating, we will also celebrate the opportunities available within the ISP community to contribute, collaborate and to learn that we can make a difference through service to others.

How can you help the community prepare for Giving Tuesday?

1. Become a breathing book in ISP's Human Library by completing this form. Join the growing library catalogue (now over 100 books) and help us reach our goal of 500 books by June 2021.

2. Link to ISP on social media and like the student-led service projects you learn about. We'll be highlighting multiple projects every week leading up to Giving Tuesday and our goal is 2500 likes!

3. Tell us an inspiring story about giving in the ISP community by emailing communications@isparis.edu. We'll also highlight these stories on social media, as well as in ISP digital communications. We look forward to hearing from you!
