Life at ISP
A community of students, parents and staff from more than 60 different nations, the International School of Paris is a vibrant environment where intercultural understanding and personal experience are seamlessly integrated on a daily basis. We are very proud that ISP is much more than a school for those who come through the door each day.
In order to provide the very best learning experience for the students enrolled in the School, we believe it is vital that the Extended Curriculum is as well developed as the Academic. Students are encouraged to enroll in any of a large number of activities, from life drawing, band, choir, drama productions in the arts, through Model United Nations and Eco-School to both competitive and social activities in the sports. International events and celebrations are organized for both students and parents, highlighting different aspects of the diverse cultures.
The students are supported within a ‘well-being’ structure which takes into account the differing needs of each individual member of the community. This structure includes:
School nurse in the School five days a week.
Full-time guidance counselor and an excellent
Learning Support team for students who have difficulties either academically or otherwise.
Active Student Council which represents the student body in general, acts as a conduit for their ideas and concerns, and organizes regular events.
Grade Head system in the Secondary School (daily contact with each student and first point of contact in School for parents).
Trained and experienced
college counselors available for advice on applying to colleges in different countries around the world.
ISP’s community has grown over the years, but the values that it holds and represents have remained as they were when the school was smaller. The students are recognized as the individuals that they are, and their personal experiences and cultural knowledge are valued by the other members of the community. Life in school revolves around this fundamental concept, and students, parents and staff appreciate the unique environment that their cooperation creates. |
