Vacations & School Day
  • School doors opens at 8:30 and classes begin at 8:45.
  • Classes finish at 16:30 and school doors close at 17:30. Some extra-curricular activities may continue after 17:30.
  • Grades 6-8 finish school at 15:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Classes finish at 15:15 for all students on alternate Tuesdays.
  • Students have some French public holidays as well as regular breaks throughout the school year. Consult the Calendar of Vacations for dates.
  • IB students (grades 11-12) should note that some externally organized IB Diploma exams take place on days that are public holidays in France.
  • Grade 6-9 students stay on campus for lunch; most students bring a packed lunch from home.
  • Grade 10-12 students are allowed to leave the campus during lunch break.
  • Grade 11 and 12 students are only required to be on campus when they have a class.
  • A variety of Extra Curricular Activities are available for the students such as choir, computer, concert, French, homework, the Humanitarian Project, Italian, drawing, Literary Magazine, maths, Model United Nations, photography, drama, newspaper, etc.
  • There is no school uniform but students are encouraged to come to school in appropriate, hardwearing clothes in which they can move freely. Students are allowed to wear headwear unless a teacher asks them to remove it.  
Faculty
  • Each student has a Grade Head, who is responsible for monitoring his or her overall well-being, attendance and academic performance.
  • All subjects are taught by specialized teachers.
  • In addition to specialized teachers for the IB subjects, ISP has professional staff for Personal and Social Education, English as an Additional Language, Learning Support and University Counseling.
  • The School Nurse is available at the Secondary School three days a week and can be reached by email and/or phone all week.
  • On average, teaching staff stay at ISP for 4 years. 
  • ISP staff represent 22 nationalities and speak approximately 20 different languages including: German, Spanish, Hindi, English, Irish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (including Brazilian), Chinese (Mandarin), Swedish, Russian, Armenian, Italian, French (including Canadian and Belgian French), Arabic, Slovakian and Scottish.
ISP Communications
  • A school-wide weekly newsletter, the Contact, is sent to parents via email.
  • Parent information evenings and workshops are held on a regular basis and are communicated to parents via email and are also available on the School Calendar.
  • Three-way conferences, where the student, teacher and parent discuss the student’s performance, are held twice a  year, at mid-semester.
  • The school issues four report cards each year; two full semester reports and two mid-semester interim reports.
  • ISP publishes a variety of publications including the biannual Tribune and the Annual Report.

  • If parents need to contact the school, they may call the Reception at 6 rue Beethoven at 01 42 24 09 54 from 8:30 to 17:00. If calling outside of these hours, parents may leave a message.
