45th Anniversary Fundraiser a Great Success!
This year marks the 45th Anniversary of the International School of Paris. In celebration of our achievements and in recognition of our administrators and families, past and present, ISP had a gala fundraiser on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the elegant Residence of the Serbian Embassy, just steps away from rue Beethoven. There was international food, dancing and a unique auction in support of learning at ISP.

The proceeds from both the ticket sales and donations to this gala event will be used to promote continued excellence in our student-centered education by:
- funding special curricular projects to enrich student learning this academic year.
- expanding our endowment fund for staff professional development to provide long-term support for recruiting and retaining qualified staff.
- providing scholarships to assist qualified students to attend ISP.
Specifically, items that our teachers need this year but that were not included in their budgets were "purchased" before and during the Gala event. Thanks to the generosity of our parents, all the items below were funded:

20 cameras for classroom use and field trips
Two interactive whiteboards for music and for French
150 French books for the library
A tool box/bench for the Ranelagh garden
Rosetta Stone software for ESL & French language learning
Secondary School
The Arts
Printing press for the Secondary School Art Room
Ten educational videos for the new IB Diploma Drama program
Sony Handycam Camcorder HDR-SR12
Design Technology

Field trip to a packaging plant for the IB students
Language
Guest speakers to work with students in writing workshops
Rosetta Stone software for ESL and French students
Production costs of the Literary Magazine
Set of headphones for an entire ESL class.
Science
An autoclave which sterilizes glassware so that for the first time micro-biology can be taught at ISP
A sensitive electronic balance with milligram precision
A microwave transmitter/receiver to teach wave phenomena
Technology
Ten laptops
Twenty cameras
