Parents having questions are invited to set up an appointment with the Primary School librarian, either before or after the school hours. Parents are also encouraged to suggest classic titles in their home languages or in English or French to help the librarian choose books with multicultural perspectives for our library collection.
There are approximately 10,000 books in the Primary School library, and several childrens' magazines. The books are largely in English, which is ISP's language of instruction, but we also actively collect French books and magazines and books in home languages of the student population. According to the research, reading strategies and skills in a home language will transfer to the students' reading strategies and skills in English.
