To kick off the holiday season, the annual PTA Holiday Bazaar was held on December 4th. The Ranelagh gym was transformed into a colourful and bustling bazaar. The hard work of parents paid off handsomely as the students anxiously awaited their turn to buy inexpensive but nice, mostly handmade and ecological gifts for their families. Our thanks go to the PTA and all the volunteers who helped make this bazaar a great success.
Then, a week later, a group of students from the Nordic countries presented the Santa Lucia tradition to the Primary School. We were delighted that so many parents lent a hand in preparing for this moving and beautiful assembly, where the children walked in a procession carrying crowns of lit candles on their heads.

In the Secondary School, the ISP Choir and Concert Band gave a lively lunch time concert on Tuesday 15th December. They performed a variety of contemporary pieces that were well received by the appreciative and responsive audience. Thanks to the CAS students who helped to organise this event, and to Ms Lathuillerie and Ms Wenham who worked with the students to prepare it! All were pleased to support homeless people with the money collected, as each student paid 50 cents to attend the concert. This was an experience that definitely needs to be repeated next year! Thank you to all the staff and students for supporting this event.
Finally, International Day will be celebrated in the Secondary School, as it has been for many years, on the last day of school before the Winter vacation. This is always ISP at its best as teachers, staff, and students celebrate their individual and collective nationalities, cuisine and customs. Look forward to the news story and slide show of the Secondary School International Day on our website in 2010!
