On behalf
of the Board of Trustees, welcome to the International School of Paris - a
place where every student can develop his or her full intellectual and human
potential and the only school in France to offer all three International
Baccalaureate programmes.
The Board
of Trustees is the executive and highest legal authorizing body of the
International School of Paris (ISP). We are charged with organizing and
operating the ISP Association, primarily composed of parents with children
enrolled at ISP, and ensuring the effective and smooth running of the School in
strong partnership with the Head of School. The Board establishes basic
policies and major programs, and delegates the day-to-day administration to the
Head of School.
The Board's
primary mission is to protect and ensure the continued existence of the School,
including the appointment of the Head of School. The international spirit of
ISP is reflected in the Board of Trustees, which is composed of current and
former parents, representing nine different nationalities. Members bring
multiple skills and experiences, and all are volunteers.
The Board's
philosophy is to ensure that the interests of all ISP stakeholders are served.
To achieve this, we encourage open and active communication among parents,
teachers, students, administrative staff, alumni and friends of the ISP.
Should you
have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at trustees@isparis.edu.
The Board encourages active communication with all ISP stakeholders.
Open sessions are held before every Board meeting, and parents, students and employees are welcome to attend.
At the Annual General Meeting, the Board reviews the year's activities of the Association and School, and presents its plans for the coming year. All stakeholders are encouraged to attend this meeting.
We invite parents and other stakeholders who may wish to propose themselves as Trustees or to volunteer for committee membership to contact the Head of School or any Trustee.
We also invite all stakeholders to contact us on any matters involving the interests of the ISP Association.
Please note: The Open Sessions for staff and parents will only be held
if the persons planning on attending inform the School by the Friday
before the monthly Board meeting, with an indication of their specific
interest so that the Board and the Administration might prepare a
response.
