The Primary and Secondary School students may be off for the holidays, but the learning never stops at ISP. July is when the Ranelagh and Beethoven campuses are occupied by students from in and outside of ISP for the Holiday Language Program. The program offers courses in French and English for students of all levels and runs over four weeks, focusing on a different theme each week.
The youngest students, between three and five years old, have been language learning though games, songs and role play as a way of encouraging spontaneous use of French and English. Some of the best received activities have included making shortbread cookies, designing animal masks and going to the park to build sand castles.
Students from age six to eleven have been improving their language skills in the morning and participating in fun activities during the afternoon that expand their vocabulary and help them to talk in-depth on specific subjects. The teenage participants have been able to choose afternoon activities including sports, computer coding and visual arts and all students have enjoyed regular trips to the museums and monuments in Paris, including a ride on one of the famous bateaux mouches!
Students have had the option of attending the HLP for one to four weeks, making it a great summer holiday idea for families coming from both in and outside of Paris.
