This year, for the first time the Secondary School student council organized a two-day holiday bazaar to mark the winter break. The bazaar is a longstanding ISP tradition, where members of the community buy holiday gifts for loved ones while raising money for a good cause. This year the bazaar's proceeds went to ISP's 2017 Sustainable Development Project, an ongoing initiative to raise money and build an orphanage in Ghana.
In the last week before the winter break, something special was in the air. For the first time, the student council organised the Holiday Bazaar for the Secondary School on December 12 and 13, 2016. Students joined in together in the spirit of generosity to purchase handmade goods for their friends and family and enjoy the sweet and savoury snacks prepared by the parents. There was even an opportunity to win prizes in a raffle, ranging from a make-up kit to a Swatch watch! The event was an overwhelming success, raising over 800 Euros for the Ghana team to help build an orphanage in the rural Tafi Atome village in Ghana. The bazaar brought students together to celebrate the passing of another year and look forward to what the New Year might bring to ISP in 2017.
