Dancing to raise money for an Amur leopard

On Thursday, January 26, a group of students in Grade 7 organized a semi-formal dance for students in grades 6, 7 and 8 as part of their Service and Action (S&A) program to raise money to adopt an Amur leopard.

The dance was a great success and I would like to extend a big thank you to those students who participated and helped raise money. The students did a great job at organizing, decorating, preparing snacks and beverages, and playing music. With the funds raised, the students were able to adopt three Amur leopards through the World Wildlife Fund! The Grade 7 students should be proud of this accomplishment.

Many thanks are also extended to teachers Rochelle Self and Julie Cutelli and the parents, all of whom gave us a great deal of help in the organization and clean-up.
